Policy

The Polderhuis foundation aims at not only preserving and bringing to life the history of Zeeland and Westkapelle, it is also a meeting place for people.
As we chose not to be dependent on commercial income, which would have an influence on our day to day policy, means that we have to generate our own revenues. Therefore we mostly rely on volunteer work rather than paid employees.
Working with volunteer workers has two benefits. One is that volunteer work is generally done wholeheartedly by dedicated and interested people. And secondly it has a very positive influence on the operating expenses.
Apart from that, the Polderhuis also offers a great meeting place for dedicated volunteers, who are willing to make a meaningful contribution to the society in which they live. A place to feel at home and to make new friends.
