Zoete Dingemanse
“My paintings were created at the 'painting club' here in Westkapelle of which I have been a member for many years. I prefer to paint with acrylic paint on large canvases. I get my inspiration from magazines or the internet and then I put my own spin on it. I am very pleased to be able to exhibit here in my village of Westkapelle and our trusted lighthouse.”
Tanja Houmes
“I have enjoyed drawing and painting for a long time, and I am also a member of the Westkappel Drawing and Painting Club. I use all kinds of materials and surfaces for my works.
My subjects are diverse, but I often end up with my own environment, animals and portraits. It remains fascinating to delve into a subject, to observe the details, colors and light and to translate this into your own interpretation. On the one hand I try to 'capture' reality, on the other hand I like to literally color 'outside the lines' sometimes.”
Barend Midavaine
Creations on canvas, paper and panel. “My works are moments of observation that I store in my thoughts. If possible, I make a sketch on the spot and work it out later. If I want to put it on canvas, I make a few more sketches at home until I get the right image that I have imagined.”
