Welcome to the site of Polderhuis Westkapelle, Dike- and War museum. You can find the Polderhuis at the foot of the sturdy sea-dike in Westkapelle. A museum where you will be taken back to the lively history of Westkapelle and Walcheren. The museum is easily accessible for wheelchairs. There is an elevator and two wheelchairs for general use. For disabled people there is a special toilet and alongside of the museum a special parking place. For opening hours and entrance click here.

In the shop in the museum you will find books, special souvenirs and typical products of Westkapelle.

In the Polderhuis you also can enjoy a cup of coffee and a snack. The exhibitions in the coffee room change from time to time; you can read an old newspaper or a book or album from the portfolio.

In the garden various activities are organised during the Summer, e.g. garden fairs or a concert. The garden serves as a little museum, with remainders of the City of Benares, a landing craft and a monument.

Watch Tower

From the watch-tower you have a splendid view over the village and the sea. The tower is only accessible through the museum.
